About me
My name is Jake Thorley and I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, natural bodybuilder, and fitness coach.
I first started lifting in 2017 after deciding to hang up my soccer cleats after playing for the better part of 14 years. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing soccer, I racked up quite a few injuries over the years; a torn LCL, torn UCL, three concussions, and a broken back; you name it, there was a good chance I had done it.
Throughout all these injuries, I had found myself in and out of physical therapy. Like many other physical therapists, I found myself intrigued by the profession; specifically with an interest for sport rehabilitation and performance. Many years later, I myself am a Physical Therapist, helping those going through the same process I had been through countless times.
Alongside being a physical therapist, I am also a competitive natural bodybuilder. I have spent countless hours learning all things related to training and nutrition, and applying it to my own training. I first competed in natural bodybuilding in 2020, and have never looked back. Not only do I love training, but I love the physical, emotional, and psychological growth that has come as a byproduct of bodybuilding.
Through my education in physical therapy and experience as a bodybuilder, my goal is to help you become the best version of yourself; whether your goal is to compete in bodybuilding, feel more comfortable in the gym, or navigate an injury that is holding you back. Whatever it may be, my goal is to help you get there.
