Welcome to Thor Performance

Hello there!

If you are reading this, you likely came from my instagram after I announced this little project of mine. If you have been following me for a while (firstly, thank you for the support) you probably have a good idea of who I am and what I am about; but if not, allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Jake and (as of writing) I am a third year physical therapy student at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, however I originally hail from Long Island, NY. In addition to being a physical therapy student, I am a competitive natural bodybuilder and self proclaimed modern meat head. I am obsessed with all things bodybuilding and physical therapy related, and enjoy exploring the intersection between the two. My love for these two things has led to the development of Thor Performance, a place for me to house this blog, my online coaching services, and one day (fingers crossed for that NPTE) online physical therapy services. Outside of the gym, my hobbies include taking long walks with my dogs listening to podcasts about bodybuilding or physical therapy (I did say I was obsessed now, but I do also enjoy a good true crime pod), cheering on my soccer, baseball, and football teams, watching a good thriller or horror movie, and occasionally breaking out the old soccer cleats to relive my glory days.

The goal of this blog is to be a place for me to streamline my thoughts about anything and everything that comes to mind in relation to physical therapy and bodybuilding (and other barbell sports for that matter) and however they may overlap, all while providing some form of entertainment for you, the reader.

Whatever it may be, I do hope you follow along; I will try my best to help you learn something, make you critically think, all while keeping you entertained. I don’t take myself too seriously so that last one shouldn’t be too hard to do.

Feel free to subscribe to the blog down below to be notified when a new post goes up. If you do end up reading this far, leave a comment below!

I look forward to the growth of this blog, however big it may get or how small it may stay. Lets ride!
